Welcome to the P&C website for Kapinara Primary School.

The P&C (Parents & Citizens Association) at Kapinara Primary consists of parents, teachers and other interested parties who care about our children's education.

The P&C meet formally at the School monthly during term time (please check Meeting dates). Our broad role is to:

  • Facilitate co-operation between parents and the School
  • Foster opportunities for parent participation in the School in a wide range of activities
  • Encourage parent input on issues including the curriculum and other education areas and to maintain an open dialogue with the School.

The P&C also provides the School with much needed additional resources through our fund-raising activities.

Other specific P&C activities at the School include:

  • A bi-weekly Canteen (on Mondays & Thursdays).
  • An on-site Uniform Shop, enabling parents to purchase good quality school uniform items at a reasonable cost.
  • Liaison with School management in major initiatives including the refurbishment of the school, coordinating large fundraising drives for equipment, air conditioners (2011), PA system (2010) and playgrounds (2005), applying for grants, active-after-schools (began 2010).
  • Providing assistance at School events such as our swimming and athletics carnivals and the bi-annual Pantomine concert.
  • Funding purchase of computers on an annual basis.

In short, the P&C provides parents with a forum to be involved in and make a difference in the education outcomes for their children.

The opportunities for involvement at Kapinara Primary through the P&C are endless and limited only by the time that parents are able to commit.
